Asian Glass Double Lamp Men Women Flowers Tree Bugs Butterfly Wood Base Vintage
A nice vintage Asian double glass lamp with men, women, flowers, trees, bugs, butterflies on a wood base. The design is on the inside of the glass lamp.
The top of the lamp has the turn on shade holder, looks like a flower bud. The lamp is approx 32" in height, approx 2" just the wood base, approx 16-1/2" just the glass area alone, approx 7-1/2" wide at widest point, approx 7 across bottom. There are some signs of age/use/wear. There is an area along the top of the glass that looks like it chipped but then was smoothed over when the map was made. This is shown in pictures.
It looks like there are other small chips/bites/nicks near the top. There is some color/enamel fade/loss. Some scratches on the glass.There is some discoloration inside on the color of lamp, uncertain from age, sunlight, etc. Brown spots, again shown in pictures. The wood base has some scratches, scuffs, chips, nicks, in the wood. The wood base is painted gold although there is an orange color underneath. The lamp is green and gold in the background, the men, women, bugs, butterflies, trees, flowers, fence, and porch are black, white and grey.
The design is on the inside of lamp and I do not know if it is all hand painted, some hand painted, or none at all. There is noticeable color loss near the neck in areas. Again, all are shown in pictures. One side of the lamp turned on briefly, then shut off. The other side did not work.The electrical plug is outdated. The lamp is not very tight to the metal and wood stand, needs to be tightened up or adjusted. A beautiful vintage glass lamp.
